Fw 190A-2 undercarriage legs BRONZE

Eduard BRASSIN 1/48 Fw 190A-2 undercarriage legs BRONZE for Eduard kit

The Focke Wulf Fw-190 is probably one of the most modeled aircraft in any scale, mainly because it was such an excellent design and was produced in very large numbers during World War II. Although sources vary as to the number produced, slightly fewer that 1,000 of the A-4 type appear to have been manufactured during 1942 to replace the A-3, and subsequently being supplanted by the improved Fw-190A-5. Constantly upgraded during the war, the type held on until the final days, both as a fighter and as a ground support and reconnaissance aircraft. Most serious modelers are familiar with the type and its history, so I'll refer you to other sources. There is certainly no lack of information on this aircraft, both in publication form and on the internet.

Upon the release of the Fw 190A Royal Class which includes the A-2 variant Eduard releases this complimentary Brassin set for the landing gear section .So this set is packaged in a blister pack with foam protecting the six parts inside. There are two brass landing gear legs and four resin gear.

Brass legs are perfectly casted in bronze and the covers in grey resin .Construction is simple enough. Remove the doors from the carrying blocks, sand slightly and add to the Brass strut. The brass strut itself doesn't really need any clean up other than the very top of the strut and then only slightly. The details of  the pieces is crisp with thin break lines along the legs and subtle rivets on the gear covers. Adding the gear is simple either with superglue or epoxy.

This new BRASSIN landing gear sets is not some brass copy of the kit parts but instead they deliver all the details of the real thing along with the toughness of the metal legs. There is not a single thing to be added on behalf of the modeler apart from painting and gluing and they will surely put to your model that extra detailed look.
Highly recommended!!
