Fw 190A propeller

Eduard BRASSIN 1/48 Fw 190A propeller for Eduard kit

The Focke Wulf Fw-190 is probably one of the most modeled aircraft in any scale, mainly because it was such an excellent design and was produced in very large numbers during World War II. Although sources vary as to the number produced, slightly fewer that 1,000 of the A-4 type appear to have been manufactured during 1942 to replace the A-3, and subsequently being supplanted by the improved Fw-190A-5. Constantly upgraded during the war, the type held on until the final days, both as a fighter and as a ground support and reconnaissance aircraft. Most serious modelers are familiar with the type and its history, so I'll refer you to other sources. There is certainly no lack of information on this aircraft, both in publication form and on the internet.

Eduard continuous the BRASSIN enhancements for their New Fw 190A-4 with the release of the propeller set. This set is consisted of 9 resin pieces and 1 smaller in p.e. In the resin pieces we have the  three propeller blades  , prop hub,  prop shaft, two different radiator fans  and a jig. The prop hub mounts into the jig with one prop blade and this combo sets the propeller pitch at a constant angle for all three blades..The p.e part is an alignment template  for the proper drilling of the hole in  the propeller hub to insert the shaft.

Now in terms of accuracy the spinner looks great with the right shape and dimensions. The VDM 9-12067A blades are also  in the right shape and dimensions Here we have to mention that a bit on attention is required  on  behalf of the modeler when removing the casting pins from the spinner as the three pins are located on the outer surface.

Another great release  by Eduard  especially if you want to display the propeller of your Fw 190A in a maintenance condition  with the spinner of and the detailed pro hub visible!
Highly recommended!!
