F-14A ejection seat

Eduard 1/48 F-14A ejection seat for Tamiya kit

The Grumman F-14 Tomcat is a supersonic, twin-engine, two-seat, variable-sweep wing fighter aircraft. The Tomcat was developed for the United States Navy's Naval Fighter Experimental (VFX) program following the collapse of the F-111B project. The F-14 was the first of the American teen-series fighters which were designed incorporating the experience of air combat against MiG fighters during the Vietnam War.

I am in the delightful position to present to you, another Eduard’s Brassin edition.
This time, it has to do with the ejection seats of the famous Grumman F-14A Tomcat. And of course I am talking about the Martin-Baker Mk. GRU-7A seats.
These seats are meant to be mounted on Tamiya’s 1/48 kit,

The resin casting is superb. There are parts for the main body of the seats, and headrests given separately. That makes painting of the subassemblies even more easy.

The perfect pre-painted fret includes more than 30 pieces to dress both seats (Pilot and Rio) with all around harnesses, leg and arm tensioning straps, yellow and black striped ejection handles for head cushion and between the knees and placards for the seat’s headbox.

In the small decal sheet provides the stencil placards for the both seat in clear printing details.

Coming to a conclusion, I believe that this set is one of the best in the market referring to the Martin-Baker GRU-7A ejection seat.
Highly recommended!
